The Door Evan has always wanted

OK, anyone who has spent even 10 minutes with Evan knows how he loves to open and shut doors. ENDLESSLY!!!


I'll give you some background before the pictures. Evan was playing at his friend Will's house last week. Will has his very own playroom and has a Toy Doorway!!! Evan was just happy as a clam with the doorway. So it got me thinking...Evan needs a door. Now mind you, Evan's Dad would disagree. He has space issues. Being the internet worm (Jim calls me that) I did some research and sure enough they have even a bigger doorway for Evan's age!! It was so coooool!!
So, after some searching I found one at the Baltimore Toys R' Us..AND it was on sale from $70 to $23. How could I resist? My mom picked it up for Evan and I picked it up from her and VOILA!!!! Evan now has his very own Doorway!!! Just wait until Jim gets home tomorrow and sees it!

This picture sums up this trip we took to the Deerhaven Mini Zoo. It was an odd little place. Evan did get to feed the goats and they were really cute.

Made me kind of sad. Some of the "habitats" seemed a little small for the animals. And I don't really like horses and the little horse BIT ME!!!! I was bending over!!

Like this little Lioness.....doesn't she need more room?

But Evan just thought she was another "Dat".......Dat=Cat

Then later that week we played with some friends at Will's House! He has his very own playroom and shared all of his toys with us!! Thank you Will!

Today (July 22, 2008) we went to Baker Park with our friends from TLG...we were only there a short time because it started to rain. But here are some videos of Evan playing! It's late...so I'll add some pictures tomorrow!!

Then the GREATEST THING OF ALL!!!!!!! Just listen to him make an "engine" noise and start breathing heavy and grabbing my hand. It's so adorable....Chris will surely like it!!!

Saturday in the Pool

It was nice and warm today. So we enjoyed some time outside in the pool. Evan was really laying on the charm! He just loves to splash in water! When I water flowers, he is always messing around and trying to grab the watering can.

I took a LOT of pictures and some are really cute when viewed in succession. So I am including a slideshow!!!

Exploring a new gym!!

Today Evan and I went with our friends to a new Gym called Tumblebees. It's more of a "run wild and free" type environment. Which was really fun. The gym had a ball pit, tons of toys and a little roller coaster. Which will enter the story later!!

First thing Evan played with was the kitchen! I mean seriously....all these doors!!!! He was in heaven!!

Shortly after this photo my little angel decided if he didn't get a certain little car that he wanted, he may......protest. So we left and came home.

Evan did re-group and relax. Evan just recently started to lay like this and enjoy his snack! I just love it! THEN, for even more fun. Spring and McKenzie dropped by and we got to play some more!! Watch out Will, Evan got some one on one time!!

Mommy and Evan did make up!! How could you EVER stay mad at that face??? His not mine!

When good cheese goes bad

OK, I've gotten some emails asking where are our 4th of July pictures.

So this is what happened. We had plans for a big shindig. Jim started 7 racks of ribs on his Big Green Egg on Friday for our picnic on Saturday. I was to make the sauce as usual and we made the rub together....romantic eh?

Anyway...around 2:00 we wanted a snack. So I had just gone to the grocery store of course and we had a FRESH yummy block of Smokey Cheddar Cheese. So we enjoyed some slices of its smokey goodness!

Fast Forward to 5:00...I start feeling nauseous. By the time I give Evan a bath at 7:00 I'm really hurting.

To leave out all the details...it was BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD Cheese. Jim and I both got food poisoning and had to cancel the picnic on Saturday. We spend the whole weekend whining, complaining and being miserable.

So needless to say there are no fun pictures of Evan on the 4th this year!! But I'll make up for it I promise.

Jim and I are back at 100%......in case you were wondering.

Summertime, Summertime, Sum Sum Summertime

Summmmertime!!!!!

Yayy!!! The weather has been so fabulous. We have been having sooo much fun. Evan and I have been on the go! Here are the pictures to prove it!

Mommy!!! Put some clothes on me!! The girls are gonna go wild!!

I just need a sip to quench my thirst!! After a good swim a boy needs his bear!!

Then on Saturday June 28th we went to Ryan's (my nephew) 15th Birthday Party and it was at a pool too!!! A little bigger than his at home.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, Apple juice!!! Refreshing after doing laps in the pool!

After a day of swimming, I hit the playground!!

Thennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, on Tuesday Morning we went to this park called Fountain Rock Park.

They had turtles, geese and fish oh my!!! It was so cool. I forgot to take pictures of the turtles....but you can see them on Angies blog.

You could buy food to feed the turtles! Evan liked that!

Honestly, the geese weren't fond of our little "angels". So we had to retreat!! Evan wasn't scared at all though and as you can see, had to be pulled away by Sam! Thanks!!! And of course Will was fearless too.

But we retreated to the playground, which was fun!!! Evan doesn't normally care for playgrounds but I think he's starting to!

Although even when I'm inside I have a pretty good time!

And today we went to the Brunswick pool with two other friends!! Angie's son Will and Spring's daughter McKenzie. The 3 amigos!!

Well I think that wraps up Evan's Week in Review! With the upcoming 4th of July weekend and his brother and sister visiting, we are sure to have plenty more pictures. So have a great Independence Day!!!
