Evan and Diego

Diego is definitely Evan's Kitty B.F.F. Somedays, when I think Evan has wandered off to get into something bad, he's just hanging out with Heavy D. They are so cute together. Diego will be 15 this April. He seems to be eating well!! :)

So here are some pictures of my boys.

Evan was really getting into looking at a little photo album I have beside the chair.
I wonder which picture Evan is pointing out to him?

Evan visits Santa and does other stuff!

Evan was a little unsure of Santa...so Mom had to join him!
We tried to get the group together for a picture!!We almost had it!!!So then there was just Evan!!Evan hanging out with his Big Brother Diego! Diego puts up with so much from Evan.
Evan checking out Wasilla the Moose!
He loves to watch it move and to turn on it on everyday!!
Franklin taking a Christmas cat nap.

Evan still loves to wear everyone's shoes!!! Koren was home this weekend and he was walking around in her boots.

FINALLY wearing his own shoes. He just got these fine kicks on Saturday.

Just like his Daddy!!

Mr. Frederick County!

Today it was raining and Evan had a runny nose. So it was a day for indoor activities!

I had to really talk him into using his hands....I've created a clean monster. So Evan chose to use the paint brushes instead.

Although he really wanted to squirt ALL the paint out on the paper.Yes, he was shirtless....

First Things First

I know it's been a while since my last post. Things have been sort of crazy around here.

I'd like to use this space to say just a few words about a friend of our family's who passed away on December 4, 2008. Andy Maught was Koren's best friend and boyfriend for many years. He was a part of the Kiracofe Family for many more before that. He was a good person and will be missed by his family and friends.

Evan's First Hair Cut

There are many little things in life that really make certain experiences special. Today we had Evan's hair cut for the first time. This was an oddly emotional thing for me. For me it was sort of like the last little piece of that little angel laying in my arms at 3 am. That time was really precious to me. I've tried very hard to savor every little stage and milestone. He no longer lays in my arms or needs me to carry him up and down the stairs. He can feed himself and go and retrieve toys he wants. I even miss him laying in his crib waiting for me to pick him up.

I remember in the middle of the night just staring at him and rubbing his little head. Well, ok, it's not little but at one time it was! Christmas songs always make me warm and fuzzy because they always take me back to the time when Evan was an infant. At 3 AM the world was so quiet, with Christmas lights twinkling and I would have Christmas songs playing while I would feed him. It was such a peaceful experience.

Today will also be one of those times that will always bring fond memories. We are very fortunate to live in a town like Jefferson. It's so cute, with its church steeples, bakery and best of all 1 chair barber shop! Jim has been getting his hair cut at this barber shop for about 15 years and Chris had his hair cut there as well. So, today was Evan's big day. He got to go see Mr. Jim the Barber. Mr. Jim is a really kind and gentle person.

My little snickerdoodle did really well and didn't cry at all. He sat on Daddy's lap like a little man and I think even joined in the barber shop talk! Are you ready for some pictures? Well, I took 116.....but I guess I shouldn't post them all. :) Here are just a few.

Walking in with Dad

I love how he's looking through the door...what are we doing in here???

OK, here goes that cute little curl in the back!!!

Evan thought the clippers tickled.

A little off the top please...

Gotta get those sideburns!!

A little powder to brush off that hair!!
Then it was Daddy's TURN!!!
"You heard WHAT about the Ol' Jenkins farm???"

Evan showing off his new regulation cut!!!

While Daddy was finishing up.....

We really want to think Mr. Jim the barber, he made it really nice for Evan and was instrumental in the success of Evan's very 1st hair cut! See you when Evan's hair grows back...which at the rate his hair grows could be when he's 4!!

Never a serious picture!!
What mom? I don't need you to spot me in here!

Evan's ready for Santa!!

Last night I decided I needed some cheering up so I put Evan in his Santa Claus pajamas. It worked!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

After Evan has his bath and is dressed in his PJ's he loves to run around the upstairs acting goofy and working off the last of his energy!
Or stand still so I can take his picture in his cute plaid flannel Santa Claus pajamas!!

Franklin also runs around and acts like a nut. This maneuver scares the heck out of us....

Franklin is very athletic!
OK, for the big finale I have this!!!!.
