Sliding Into Fun on the Curly Q Slide

We moved on to the big red Curly Q slide...which sort of scared us Mommy types...but we all joined in the "spotting" duties!! And Steve was our staff photographer! Thank you STEVE!!

Evan really was so darn cute...I must say.

McKenzie had a turn too!!
And of course... Mr. Miso Cute!!!
Love the comb over!!!
Is this kid having fun?
Tandem slides!!!

I want to know what Spring was thinking??
McKenzie was so happy to see her Daddy!!

Ok, seriously people...I'm exhausted. I can't add any more catchy captions. So here's the slideshow...There are about 250 pictures. Do you know how much time it takes to upload that many pictures to the internet?
There should be no complaints about lack of pictures out of any of you!!!

Here's the slide show....good night!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn

Sliding into some serious fun!!

First of all...I have no idea how to do this post. Angie, Will, Spring, McKenzie, Me, Evan and even McK's Daddy were all at the playground today! 281 pictures were taken. So you see my problem?
So I'll try to only post about HALF of them! HAHA!!! The three kids just had so much fun playing. Evan hasn't had a history of enjoying playground equipment, however lately he's really starting to like it. Just this week was the first time he started getting himself into "slide position" and sliding down sliding boards. So here goes...YIKES...I want you to see them all!!! :)

So I'm going to try adding a slide show too with all the pictures!!! I'm splitting them into 2 posts...here's the 1st.

Here's Evan getting ready to slide like a big boy!

WEEEEEEEE!!! What else could I have written?

Mckenzie sees no need to wait for Evan!
Later GATOR!!! YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The smile says it all!
Evan finally made it down!
What's up there?? Linus is thinking!!

Evan wanted to slide on the big boy swing and did pretty good!

Evan hung like a little monkey too!!! It's his new trick he learned in Little Gym!
He nearly plopped to the ground shortly after this picture was taken!
Time for Mommy to slide down with Evan! Thank you to Spring for taking some pictures of me and Evan!!

The entire playground crew!!

OK, this is just the first post.....I'm working on the 2nd one and I'll add the slide show to the 2nd post!!!

Nothing beats good times with good friends!!

Today was a big day for Evan. His day started out with one of his favorite things.

No, not sitting on stuff.....
No, not opening and shutting doors....
No, hanging out with his bear....

GREAT BIG RED TRUCKS THAT DON'T MOVE!!!
Our LG Splinter Cell playgroup headed out to Costco, where it was Safety Week and they had Fire Engines there. Needless to say Evan was a very, very happy boy. Of course I took a ton of pictures. It was so hard to choose some for the blog. However, I did my best. We hope you enjoy the ones we chose.

MOM!!! Do you realize I'm ON this truck???

When do we leave? I'm ready to go!!

THIS ROCKS MOM!!!
Evan was much happier about this picture than McKenzie...Still cute though!! Trust me later on today she got much chummier with Evan!
I think I can fix this....

After a nice long nap our friends Spring and McKenzie came over for dinner. Spring's husband was playing golf and Jim is out of town on business. So Spring had the fabulous idea of having dinner together! We had sooo much fun. Evan and McKenzie really got along like peas and carrots.

First there was a little pre-dinner song and dance! Evan was so cute. He kept copying everything McKenzie would do. And I think this really won her over! Later on she kept hugging Evan over and over again! He even hugged back a few times! It was so adorable...words can't say. Then it came time to eat and they enjoyed a romantic dinner of pasta and breadsticks!

After dinner the playing resumed! They actually were interacting and playing peek-a-boo under the car and everything. Spring and I were just gushing with excitement. Our husbands would be so embarrassed.

This picture was so funny...He just kept walking towards me!! That face. It is completely irresistible.

THEN!!! McKenzie grabs Evan's hand and walks him around the house.

He was actually quite willing too! They make such a cute couple! Don't worry Steve (McK's Dad!!) we had our eyes on them the whole time! ALTHOUGH, everyone reading this blog should know that McK did TACKLE Evan to hug him! So...Steve, it might be McKenzie we have to worry about not EVAN!! HAHAHA!! :)
That's it for today. Thank you so much Spring and McKenzie for joining us for dinner. FUN doesn't do our visit justice!!!

Sunday Morning in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

We woke up this morning and I suppose the cool crisp air motivated us to go do something!!

Only about 12 miles from our house is historical Harpers Ferry, West Virginia! So off we went!
Yes, I did find fabric!!! AND I took a picture of it!!
The trip began with Evan's first Bus Ride!! He really enjoyed riding on one of these gigantic things that he sees on the highway all the time!

I think Evan is saying..."Mom, get me out of here so I can sit on this Bench!!"

This is the bridge we are walking across in the pictures to follow... What could he be looking at down there???
Ahh, yes...a boat of course!!! My boy loves his transportation...if only he knew what was still to come!!
Daddy and Evan enjoying the view and I'm sure Daddy was briefing Evan on how to fish and how he used to fish these same waters when he was a young lad!!

Just a cute picture!! That face gets me every time!!
Evan got to do one of his favorite things while sightseeing...sit on stuff and look exceptionally cute doing so!!!

But then, in classic Evan style....he's got places to go and people to see!
After a walk up a steep hill...you guessed it...time to sit and enjoy biting on your bear.

Life is Good.

And perfect timing!!! Just as we arrived at the train station......here comes the TRAIN!

Dad stayed close just in case Evan got scared. He wasn't afraid, although I think he was frozen with amazement! This train was coming full speed...and we were really close to it!

Daddy and Evan as the train was whizzzzing by!

As it turns out there were 2 trains going by at the same time! It was cool to see....AND REALLY LOUD!!
Now it was time to go home and get on the big cool bus again!!Dad helping Evan find a seat!
I think he was pretty tuckered out. Evan did take a 3 hour nap today!! But we had a really fantastic day.
