Always think positively.....The Road to the OBX

OK, anyone who has talked to me in the week or so leading up to this vacation can tell you a million "little" things have just been going wrong. Nothing major, but you know what I mean...small things that just drive you nuts. My philosophy on this was, well, this is fate's way of making us really appreciate our vacation even more.




So our vacation starts in Williamsburg, VA. Jim had an business meeting there on Friday, so we decided to break up the trip to the Outer Banks (OBX) and stop there for a day. We arrived on Thursday evening and Jim had a big surprise for us. He had told us that he made reservations at a Springhill Suites, but this is where we really stayed.



We had a 2 bedroom Rock Star Suite @ Ford's Colony Country Club!


The place was really nice and it made the overnight with Evan a breeze. (He slept all night and napped too) So here are some pictures from our first evening of Vacation...
